Romantic Suspense - An intense and emotional book, sadly topical, it starts with a mass shooting. Heartbreaking, yet uplifting. This book was one of the best books I read in 2018.
Romantic Suspense - Set in Antarctica, this book was such a page-turner with the suspense turned up high; the kind where you don't want to take a breath until the end. Loved it!
Contemporary Romance - As January learns more about herself, puts her past in perspective, and opens up to Gus, I was so invested in her and rooting for her Happy-For-Now (plus her defense of romance books is everything this romance fan ever wanted to hear). Readers are going to enjoy this book that is in the sweet spot combining woman’s lit and romance for a throughly wonderful story.
Contemporary Romance - A fun contemporary that made me want to pick up my own yarn and needles. Her descriptions of Harlem transported me there and the cast of characters, especially the Old Knitting Gang, were fantastic. I can’t wait for the next books and the brothers’ stories.
Romantic Comedy - Chloe Brown learns to reach for her dreams and had me laughing out loud after shedding some tears. This book was heartwarming and charming; this is one romance that I'll keep reading over again!
Romantic Comedy - A heartwarming romance that shines a light in dark times. The depth of the characters and their struggles to come together is wonderfully balanced with charm, humor, and a large dollop of sarcasm.
Historical Romance - One of the best historical romance I've ever read. Evie Dunmore has done her homework and wrote authentic and charming characters into the restraints of high society. She shows the consequences of pushing boundaries and that love is worth it.
Historical Romance - This is the Civil War-era romance I've been waiting for. Alyssa Cole doesn't shy away from the difficult topics, which makes the love story shine even brighter! First in a trilogy, I highly recommend them all.
Romantic Space Adventure - I enjoyed this book so much! The action was fast-paced, the characters were well-developed and interesting, and I loved the sci-fi space setting. Action-packed with a satisfying conclusion, it left me waiting anxiously for the next book.
Romanic Fantasy - Terrific worldbuilding, A Heart of Blood and Ashes is a gripping fantasy where a world facing danger has to learn who to trust and what to believe. I am in awe of Yvenne's strength and bravery.
